Welcome to Sanctus Boxing Club

Sanctus Boxing Club is more than just a gym — it's a community. Based in the heart of West Yorkshire, we are an England Boxing–affiliated club and proud members of the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC). Our mission is to use the art and discipline of boxing to empower individuals both physically and mentally, helping them grow in confidence, strength, and resilience. Whether you're a complete beginner, an aspiring amateur, or a future champion, we provide the tools, support, and expert coaching to help you succeed.

Our team includes fully qualified boxing coaches, professional trainers, and certified personal trainers — all of whom are DBS-checked, safeguarding trained, and first aid certified. Safety, inclusion, and personal growth are at the heart of everything we do.

Sanctus is also proud to lead in youth development and mental health support through our unique SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) programmes, reaching schools and young people across Calderdale, Brighouse, and Bradford. Our work has been recognised nationally by organisations including England Boxing, the Calderdale Community Foundation, and the WBC Foundation in partnership with Cleto Reyes.

Whether you're training to compete or simply looking to better yourself through boxing, Sanctus is a place where you’ll find discipline, purpose, and community — in and out of the ring.

Objectives

Sanctus Academy is committed to:

  1. Promoting Healthy Recreation:
Encouraging community participation in sports and physical activities by providing facilities for boxing and that enhance physical and mental health, fitness, and well-being.

  2. Empowering Young People:
Acting as a resource for children and young people by offering advice, assistance and programs in physical, educational and mental wellbeing. These initiatives aim to develop their skills and capabilities, enabling them to participate as independent, responsible members of society.

  3. Supporting Social Welfare:
Offering and supporting facilities for boxing, recreation, and leisure-time activities for individuals who need them due to youth, age, disability, poverty, or social and economic challenges. This work benefits the community by improving overall quality of life and creates social cohesion.
